2 DRONES PART 107 ACADEMY

Graduation means exam ready—not just finished reading.

The FAA requires 70% to pass the UAG knowledge test. 2 Drones uses a higher internal readiness standard so an Academy Graduate has shown repeatable preparation before heading to the testing center.

GRADUATION STANDARD

What earns the 2 Drones Part 107 Academy Graduate milestone?

1
Complete the core Part 107 learning pathWork through the required exam-prep lessons covering the FAA knowledge areas, including regulations, airspace and sectional charts, weather, aircraft performance/preflight, emergencies/CRM/communications, and human factors/decision-making.
2
Use the Practice Center to find and fix weak areasTake topic drills and review every missed question with the correct answer and explanation instead of memorizing answer letters.
3
Score at least 80% on two fresh 60-question full practice examsThis is a 2 Drones readiness benchmark—higher than the FAA's 70% passing score. It is not an FAA requirement and does not guarantee a passing FAA result.
4
Complete the exam-readiness checklistKnow the FAA testing process, have or be ready to obtain your FAA Tracking Number (FTN), understand what identification/testing-center steps apply, and know what happens after you pass.
Important: “2 Drones Part 107 Academy Graduate” is an internal educational milestone only. It is not an FAA certificate, endorsement, testing authorization, or guarantee of certification. The FAA issues the Remote Pilot Certificate after its own requirements are met.

WHY 80% TWICE?

We want repeatable readiness, not one lucky practice score.

The FAA's UAG exam is 60 questions and requires 70% to pass. Requiring two different randomized full practice exams at 80% or better gives a learner a reasonable internal buffer while still keeping the standard attainable.

2 Drones will review this internal benchmark as the Academy grows and as FAA testing materials change.

AFTER GRADUATION

Academy graduation is the bridge to certification—not the end of the path.

Graduates can move toward the FAA knowledge test and may become eligible to apply for the 2 Drones Academy Graduate Award when that program opens. After earning Part 107, the same account continues into flight skills, commercial readiness, portfolio building and paid-opportunity preparation.
