1. Sponsor and program purpose
The 2 Drones Academy Graduate Award is sponsored and administered by 2 Drones and a Truck LLC through the 2 Drones Pilot Market Network. Its purpose is to help exam-ready Academy graduates move from study into the FAA's initial Remote Pilot certification process. The Award is a private 2 Drones educational benefit; it is not sponsored, administered, approved or endorsed by the FAA or PSI.
2. When the program activates
The first Award cycle activates after the Pilot Market Network reaches 50 legitimate non-admin member accounts in good standing. Duplicate, fraudulent, spam, owner/admin, or obvious internal test accounts do not count toward the milestone. 2 Drones will post the opening and closing dates of the first application window after the milestone is verified. The first window will open within 30 days after verification and remain open for at least 30 days.
Two awards are available in that initial cycle. Beginning with the following calendar year, two awards are available per calendar year, in one or more published application windows.
3. Who may apply
At the close of the applicable application window, an applicant must: (a) be at least 18 years old; (b) be a U.S.-based 2 Drones member in good standing; (c) have a unique verified member email/account; (d) have earned the 2 Drones Part 107 Academy Graduate milestone; (e) not already hold an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate; and (f) be legally eligible to pursue the FAA certification process.
The owner of 2 Drones, people administering or judging the Award, and their immediate household members are not eligible. One person may receive the Academy Graduate Award only once.
4. Academy graduation versus Award readiness
Academy graduation and Award selection are separate. The normal Academy Graduate milestone currently requires completion of the required core lessons, Practice Center work, two fresh 60-question full practice exams at 80% or better, and the exam-readiness checklist.
To compete for the Award, the applicant must also have at least two fresh 60-question full practice exams at 85% or better, with at least one score of 90% or better. The Award-qualifying exams must be completed on the applicant's own 2 Drones account within the 45 days ending on the application-window close date. Scores affected by a confirmed technical error may be corrected by 2 Drones before ranking.
5. How recipients are selected
This is not a sweepstakes or random drawing. Among applicants who satisfy every eligibility requirement, 2 Drones ranks candidates using objective Academy performance:
- Highest average of the applicant's two best Award-qualifying 60-question exam scores during the qualifying period.
- If tied, highest single qualifying full-exam score.
- If still tied, earlier verified completion of all Award-readiness requirements ranks first.
Buying equipment, mentoring, repairs, workshops, Guided Setup Help, or any other paid 2 Drones product or service does not add points, improve ranking, or create eligibility.
6. What the Award pays
Each Award covers the recipient's actual standard initial UAG knowledge-test charge, up to a maximum benefit of $175. FAA information currently describes knowledge-testing-center charges as approximately $175; the Award cap applies even if a particular testing location or optional service costs more. The Award does not cover travel, transportation, lodging, rescheduling fees, missed-test fees, retests after a failed attempt, study products purchased elsewhere, or any other expense.
2 Drones may pay the approved testing provider directly where practical or reimburse the recipient after receiving acceptable proof of a scheduled/paid initial UAG exam. Reimbursement is limited to the verified amount actually paid, up to the cap, and may be delivered through a supported 2 Drones/Stripe payout method. The Award has no unrestricted cash alternative and is not transferable or assignable.
7. Accepting and using the Award
A selected recipient must respond to the Award notice within 14 days. Unless 2 Drones approves a documented exception, the recipient must schedule the initial UAG exam within 60 days after accepting the Award and provide the requested proof needed for payment or reimbursement. If the recipient declines, becomes ineligible, fails to respond, or does not satisfy the claim requirements, 2 Drones may offer that Award to the next highest-ranked eligible applicant from the same cycle.
8. Honest participation and score integrity
Applicants must complete their own Academy work and assessments. False identity information, duplicate accounts, falsified documents, manipulating scores or requests, automated answer submission, sharing answers during a scored assessment, or other attempts to game the program may result in disqualification and may also affect network membership under the Marketplace Terms and Community Standards.
9. Verification, privacy and taxes
2 Drones may verify member identity, age-confirmation status, account standing, Academy completion, practice scores, Part 107 status and payment documentation before issuing an Award. Information collected for Award administration is handled under the 2 Drones Privacy Policy. A recipient is responsible for any personal tax reporting obligation that may apply to a benefit received; 2 Drones does not provide tax advice.
10. Changes, errors and future cycles
2 Drones may clarify or change rules for a future Award cycle before that cycle opens, including changes needed because FAA/PSI testing procedures or fees change. Once an application cycle opens, the rules published for that cycle govern that cycle except for a correction required by law or a good-faith correction of an obvious clerical or technical error that does not unfairly favor a particular applicant.
If a site outage or scoring-system problem materially affects an active cycle, 2 Drones may extend the deadline or require affected applicants to complete an equivalent replacement assessment. Any such remedy will be applied consistently to similarly affected applicants.
11. No FAA credential or guaranteed outcome
Academy Graduate status, Award eligibility and receiving the Award do not constitute FAA certification, testing authorization, endorsement, or a guarantee that the recipient will pass the FAA exam or receive a Remote Pilot Certificate. The FAA and its authorized testing system control the official certification requirements.
12. Program questions
Questions about these rules or an Award cycle should be submitted through Help & Feedback. The Award is void where prohibited by applicable law.
