BEFORE USING IT
What should I do first?
- Inspect aircraft, landing gear, props, payload mount, controller and batteries as a complete mission system.
- Learn the dual-battery and battery-station workflow before field use.
- Verify the exact gimbal/payload and firmware combination you intend to use, then perform a controlled test flight.
FIRST USE
How do I start without overwhelming myself?
- Begin manually with a simple payload and open site.
- Practice a safe battery change, Return-to-Home, mission pause and landing workflow.
- Add automated mapping/inspection only after manual recovery procedures feel routine.
CONTROLS & SETTINGS
What actually matters at the beginning?
- RTK improves positioning when properly configured, but does not make every deliverable survey-grade.
- Payload choices determine whether the aircraft is doing visual, thermal, LiDAR, photogrammetry or other specialized work.
- Mission automation must be monitored; the RPIC still owns the flight.
CRASH / DAMAGE PREVENTION
What beginner mistakes should I avoid?
- Do not improvise payload or firmware compatibility at a client site.
- Do not confuse rugged enterprise construction with permission to fly in unsafe weather.
- Do not promise professional conclusions just because the payload collects advanced data.
PHOTOS, VIDEO & DATA
Keep the capture side simple at first.
- Start with one payload and one service workflow.
- Use repeatable routes/angles for inspection and consistent mission settings for mapping.
- Keep visual context with thermal/LiDAR or other specialized data so the client can understand where it came from.
USEFUL ACCESSORIES
What is actually worth considering?
- Supported mission payload
- TB65 batteries / battery station planning
- RTK/correction setup when needed
- Cases, landing-zone kit and field power
REALISTIC USES
What can I do with it?
- Industrial inspection
- Mapping / photogrammetry
- Thermal / public-safety support with appropriate payload
- LiDAR and specialized data collection
What is it not suited for?
- Learning basic stick control as a first drone
- Work that does not justify the payload/logistics overhead
- Replacing specialty training in the field being inspected
COMMON BEGINNER PROBLEMS
Check these before deciding the gear is broken.
- Payload/app mismatch: verify supported payload and firmware matrix.
- RTK issues: check correction source, sky view and coordinate workflow.
- Shorter-than-expected endurance: inspect payload, wind, temperature, battery health and mission profile.
