Lucid Bots Sherpa Power Tether

The Power Tether supplies ground power to supported Sherpa cleaning drones. Sherpa HighLine is a separate rooftop hose-support accessory, not a drone or the power tether.

PRACTICAL OWNER / BUYER GUIDE

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO?

BEFORE USING IT

What should I do first?

  • Confirm your Sherpa generation, Power Tether compatibility, ground station, generator, cables and backup-battery requirements with Lucid Bots.
  • Keep power-tether planning separate from the water/solution hose and any proposed HighLine rooftop support setup.
  • Follow manufacturer setup, rated height/hose and generator-safety guidance, including full cable deployment where instructed.

FIRST USE

How do I start without overwhelming myself?

  • Begin with Lucid-specific training and a controlled system check on the ground.
  • Verify backup-power and safe-descent procedures with a qualified operator before a live cleaning job.
  • Practice safe emergency termination and crew coordination within approved test limits.

CONTROLS & SETTINGS

What actually matters at the beginning?

  • Power Tether reduces battery-change interruptions; it does not provide flight authorization or make flight indefinite.
  • Watch ground power, cable/hose movement, crew workload, wind and service intervals.
  • HighLine is an announced pulley/hose-support product; confirm current release, qualification and training requirements directly with Lucid.

CRASH / DAMAGE PREVENTION

What beginner mistakes should I avoid?

  • Do not infer a safe height or duration from promotional demonstration figures.
  • Do not connect improvised generator, electrical, tether or hose components.
  • Do not treat HighLine and Power Tether as interchangeable.

LONG-DURATION CLEANING

Separate power, hose support and legal operating limits.

USEFUL ACCESSORIES

What is actually worth considering?

  • Manufacturer-approved generator and ground station
  • Compatible Power Tether components and backup battery
  • Suitable hose/pump and cable-management plan
  • Approved crew PPE, communication and controlled access

REALISTIC USES

What can I do with it?

  • Reducing battery swaps on supported commercial cleaning jobs
  • Planning longer-duration building-cleaning operations
  • Understanding how Sherpa differs from unsupported or makeshift tether systems

What is it not suited for?

  • Replacing FAA authorizations or VLOS/crew responsibilities
  • Automatically increasing allowable altitude
  • Assuming an announced HighLine accessory is generally available or approved for every Sherpa

COMMON BEGINNER PROBLEMS
