What to know
- Check airspace, TFR/NOTAM information, local/site restrictions and whether FAA authorization is required.
- Check current weather and how wind, visibility, temperature and site conditions affect your aircraft.
- Identify people, vehicles, structures, obstacles, takeoff/landing areas, lost-link actions and abort points.
- Use an FAA-approved LAANC provider when controlled-airspace authorization is required; 2 Drones should not pretend to issue LAANC authorization itself.
